I applied the solution below on my website (automatic scrolling to the section)

The above solution works only with a scroll, and you need to additionally click this action

I wrote such a function

function scrollToSection() {
    var elem = document.getElementById('s2');
    elem.scrollIntoView({
        top: elem.offsetTop,
        left: 0,
        behavior: 'smooth'
    });
}

The function works, but the automatic scroll does not work (i.e. it goes lower, but higher than the section where it was clicked, it does not work anymore)

In short: It cannot go back to the top of the page using just a scroll on the mouse

Calling scrollIntoView somehow blocks the return to the top of the page
