I am a Java developer and there is a term 'method reference' in Java lambda expressions. I recently became curious whether there's any term for using a previously defined function as a callback in JavaScript array methods.

For example, in Java Person::getName is a method reference.

List<String> names = people.stream()
                           .map(Person::getName)
                           .collect(Collectors.toList());

and here, the function double was used as a callback and it looks pretty much like a method reference in Java.

let list = [1,2,3]
function double(number){
    return number * 2;
}
let doubledList = list.map(double);

I am wondering what is this called in JavaScript and whether there's any term similar to method reference.
