Working on an app dev project for a client, and it features both gift card functionality and employee badge login via magstripe encodable cards. Think standard credit card.

Right now, we have a mag stripe reader on our machines in order to read data off the cards and check against our database for balances / login. The manager in store encodes the cards themselves using a separate card printer / encode machine, but it's a manual process....

I'd really like to automate this and make it so that instead of having to encode cards separately, our database can drive the encoding of cards. For example, create a new employee in the app, which makes records in the database for the data to be encoded on the card. Then, the app displays a "please swipe a blank card to encode" screen, they swipe, and they're done!

I've found plenty of bluetooth card writers online, but so far I can't seem to find one that actually has an API / SDK with it, only ones that come with their own bundled Windows app that you have to open and type info in to. Are there any writers out there that come with an API / SDK, no matter the language? I can't seem to find a single one...
