I just implemented "Sign In With Google" with Firebase on my web application. A button is click, the pop-up is generated, and the user is signed in. Firebase creates a "user" object. However, when I try to reference the user object in the front end in a Pug template, it won't show up.

However, if I console.log user.displayName from my index.js file, it will show the display name as expected.

What is the best way to allow the user object to be available throughout my application?
