I'm trying to access a server which is to be used in a WebRTC application using Apache Cordova. The (web) application works fine on desktop on chrome and firefox but when I try to port the web app to cordova I can see error in chrome developer tools

"Please load this HTML file on HTTP or HTTPS." the error is generated from file MediaStreamRecorder.js.

I dont have a clear understanding of how WebRTC works, I've just been given a web version of custom "SDK" to make the app work and port the webapp to an android/ios cordova app.

From what I understood cordova picks HTML file and runs it in file:/// protocol. Is there any way around this problem.
