I want to convert a existing traditional web application with many resources into progressive web application. I am researching before committing to either of the options. I read somewhere about NPM package called sw-precache that detects all static resources (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, images, etc.) and holding resources by self-build in a cache

Is Service worker framework for precache on npm better than if I build cache build from scratch myself in term of performances. What is the pro and cons of the two.
