When linking a range in my current worksheet to a different a range in a different Workbook, is it any better to use array formula instead of simple linking?

Let's say I want to link range A1:B5 in the current worksheet to range A1:B5 of Sheet1 in Different.xlsx, I can either use the formula in A1 (and similarly in other cells):

='[Different.xlsx]Sheet1'!$A$1

or I can use this Array Formula in all cells:

{='[Different.xlsx]Sheet1'!A1:B5}

I have checked and both work. Is there a reason why I should use first or the second? Does array formula does anything better or just an overkill for this scenario?
