I am trying to convert a template website to React, and it comes with some js plugins. I try running it locally, placed the assets in the public folder and it works, but when i refresh the page, some of the plugins dont work.

For example, from inspection, it uses bootstrap, jquery, magnificent popup and some custom scripts that use jQuery. For the popup, when i click it the first page load, it works. When i refresh the page, it doesn't work unless i click on "Empty cache and hard refresh" on my browser.

I have tried adding both async and defer attributes on the plugins, used react-helmet
