As I mentioned before, I was responsible for the complete development of the Integra application, including the backend. One of the highlights was the consumption of a state API using the SOAP protocol, which required the implementation of specific security protocols requested by them. In addition, clearly from those developed by us, where requests to endpoints are used using the GET, POST and PUT methods.
The Integra system is fully developed using Firebase as a platform. Firestore is the database used in the system, where all the information is stored in collections of JSON documents. This storage structure resembles a NoSQL database, providing flexibility in data structure and enabling easy scaling and real-time synchronization in collaborative applications.
As the sole developer of Integra Oikonomos, I took responsibility for building the entire system. Given the complexity of the system, the implementation of custom back-ends for specific tasks was required. In this sense, Node.js with Express was used to handle the functionalities developed in JavaScript, while Flask was used for the tasks developed in Python.
