I have an app that works perfectly in IE, Firefox and Safari, but has this issue in Chrome, where after user changes one of the inputs that requires whole page to reload while scrolled down, the whole page jumps to top and down after reload is finished, resulting in a flash scroll to top and back to previous position, which is visually annoying.

The app renders some complex large html table based on input from user in certain columns (mostly combo box and text inputs), when item in combo box in one column changes, whole row needs to be recalculated (and eventually new row added), which happens on server and is visible next time the page is loaded, basically the flow is as follow:

• User changes value in combo box, request is sent via AJAX to API
• If change is successful and requires reload, location.reload() is called
• After reload the whole row changes, eventually new row is added to table - this works perfect in Firefox and other browsers, the visible change is only to the affected row. However in Chrome, page jumps to the top as it's loading and then after it finishes loading back to original position.

Customer logically complains that their users who use Chrome are getting headache from this, which I can understand, but don't seem to figure out how to get Chrome to behave as other browsers. Is there any simple solution, as telling Chrome to suspend any rendering until page is fully reloaded, to avoid that flash?
