También fui al código src del paquete npm en github, y no tenía ese archivo, así que estoy un poco confundido sobre cuál es el problema.
Hay un informe de error abierto para esto en la biblioteca pusher-js. Lo mejor es publicar en ese hilo para obtener sugerencias. https://github.com/pusher/pusher-js/issues/535
