I'm new to nodejs and visual studio code; maybe this is a stupid question, but I'm unable to understand: )'m learning javascript by using nodejs repl. Now, with visual studio code, I learned how to create vscode extensions using javascript, even if vscode works with typescript, if I understand. Ok, in extension.js file I read

const vscode=require('vscode');

So, I tried this statement in a nodejs repl session, but I receive an error: module not found. I started node from vscode terminal. So, there is a way to test vscode api function in a console?
