socket.io io.emit delayed broadcast

I have a client app similar to a map, where each client has the map rendered on their browser, and also its client's position on the map.

When a client moves, its coordinates update is sent to a socketIo server via socket.emit() and then on the server, I have said user coordinates broadcasted to everyone (including the client who moves itself) using io.emit(), so this way the position of each client gets updated on everyone's map at the same time when someone moves, capturing the positions of each client with socket.on().

I've noticed that for each specific client its own position gets updated live on their map, while the other clients' positions are being updated with a certain delay, and said delay escalates over time.

Also, no matter how fast I send the data (from 1 coordinate update per second to 5 for example), said delay seems to have a fixed time, so I am wondering if it's something related to a socketio config I'm missing.

Sorry that I couldn't bring code to the question, but the explanation should be pretty easy to understand.

Best regards, and thanks in advance.
