I'm building a React app and have a table where 3 columns are fake dropdowns. I want that, whenever a user clicks on the dropdown in one column, say Country, the dropdown menu comes in AND gets placed on top of the buttons in the adjacent columns Region and Province.

Please, note that I cannot work with element DropDown. Instead I've got an element Button and an element <div> showing up conditionally. What I need is to use something like z-index to place this div on top of the rest of the table.

The cell has the attribute position: sticky;, that's why (I have the impression) the z-index cannot be used...

Any suggestions? Much appreciated!
