I want to create a local project in which I use jsdom library to parse the html of an external web like https://example.com and output it with console.log() in my local server. I've tried to do it, but as far as I've researched, I can't use libraries in client side unless I use browserify. So I don't know how my structure should be.

If I have this directory:

myProject
    |______ public
    |         |______ index.html
    |         |______ test.js
    |
    |______ app.js (localhost)
    |______ node_modules
    |______ packages

Where I should code the parsing script? In server side or in client side?

• I've tried to develop it in server side but I don't know how to "link" it from app.js
• I've tried to develop it in client side but it gets me errors since the required libraries do not exist in the browser
