I am an accountant, currently I only program... but I spent many years programming.

To streamline my work I started with Excel and VBA.

Then I started to exploit MS Access + VBA.

And then a language, I would recommend Python... but if you need to work with large amounts of data, as in my case, which had an accounting catalog of 100,000 accounts.

If not, I would go for the No Code, like BPM, where you can develop anything without knowing how to program.

If you don't want to go too far, learn SAP or some widely used ERP, that will help you more.
