How do I detect the back swipe gesture (swiping from the right edge of the screen a little to the left) which is replacing the back button in Android 10+ ?

In my web app I'm using this code (jquery) to handle the back button:

backactionfunc=null; //global

 if(backactionfunc!=null){document.removeEventListener("backbutton",backactionfunc);}
 document.addEventListener("backbutton", backactionfunc = function(e){
     e.preventDefault();

How would I do the same with the new gesture?
