I consistently use BI tools to provide up to date information regarding the universitiy systems performance (availability, traffic, etc.). I'm also a student at a postgraduate specialization in Data Science where many courses are focused on using BI tools such as PowerBI and Tableau for different purposes and in different contexts (visualization, data analysis and treatment, showing trends, etc.).

Most of the courses in the program (specialization in Data Science) use Python so I've had the opportunity to build web scrapers, classification and regression models, neural networks and ETL pipelines for integration with other tools and databases. I've also built programs on which users could access data using REST APIs using Flask or Django as web frameworks and dash, streamlit or plotly for interactive charts, graphs and dashboards.

In the context of academic research, Ive used Python to build an image segmentation software to automate the quantification of phases in metallic structure through analysis of electronic microscopic images. I also used Python to automate data treatment from materials characterization experiments and testing.
