We are currently searching for a Lead Data Engineer to form our work team.

Who are we looking for? 🕵️‍♂️

The candidate will lead the design and writing of high-quality code for ETL/ELT data pipelines in the cloud. You will be required to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external teams, assuming responsibility for design and development processes. You will be expected to continually improve team processes and stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies and data analytics. Additionally, you will need to work in areas such as ETL, data model design and complex SQL queries, and lead the planning and execution of short and long-term objectives, providing direction across multiple projects and functional areas, with knowledge of agile methodologies such as Scrum.

What requirements must you meet? 💪

8 years of development experience building data pipelines.
A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, preferably in Computer Science or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience architecting modern data storage platforms using technologies such as Big Data, Cloud and Kafka.
Cloud experience, any cloud, preferably Bigquery, data flow, pub-sub and data fusion.
Experience in migrations, using GCP to move data from local servers to the cloud.
Strong development in Python for data transfers and extractions (ELT or ETL).
Experience working within an agile development process (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
Familiarity with CI/CD concepts.
Understanding of modern concepts (how a next-generation database such as BQ/Redshift is implemented).
Experience in developing workflows (Dag) with Airflow.
Skill and experience in BI and data analysis, end-to-end development in data platform environments.
Write excellent, fully tested code to build ETL/ELT data pipelines in the cloud.
Provide thorough and always-improving code reviews to your teammates.
Build cloud data solutions and provide domain perspective on storage, big data platform services, serverless architectures, RDBMS and DW/DM.
Engage in deep architectural discussions to build trust and ensure customer success when creating new solutions on the GCP platform.
Fix problems before they occur.
