URL Extension is being sent to api encoded when Im not encoding it

Im trying to make a post request with the data returned from my api, the data comes back as a simple string. However once I make the api call using the exact string that I was sent from the api it gets encoded the string Im sending looks like this "Test (sample)" but when I look at my request it is being sent as Test%20(sample). So the server is responding with a 422 because Test%20(sample) doesnt exist in the data base.

I just learned how how URIencode & decode work today dealing with this issue and I am not using either on the string that im using as an extension.

Ive tried decoding it before sending and it still gets sent this way, Ive also tried sending the data points encoded when creating them and decoding for display purposes only but this gets me a 422 in some cases when I use special characters.

Can anyone explain why this would be happening?
