Fire site registrations when a specific alert doesn't appear on Google Tag Manager

I should track registrations to my website on Google Tag Manager. I have set the tag activator so that it is activated when you click on the "Register" button, unfortunately there are many fields to fill in and it happens that an alert appears that does not make the registration successful, unfortunately, however, by counting it as a registration. Is there a way to set an exception on the Tag Manager so that the tag does not fire when this alert appears on the window?

Thank you all!
