How can I stop HTML form from reloading the page

So I'm trying to submit a GET request from my browser and I'm attaching a event listener to the form, however it seems that the page is reloading everytime I click on the submit button. Is there a way to prevent the page from reloading everytime I submit the form ?

<form id="test-form">
  <input type="text" name="name">
  <input type="submit" value="send request" name="submit">
</form>

Here's the js code

document.getElementById("test-form").addEventListener("submit", function(e) {
    let formData = new FormData(this);

    fetch("/hello-world")
    .then(function(data){
        //work with the data
    }
    });
  });

I know that the page is reloading because I set up a console.log('test') work everytime the page reloads.
