Can I assign ID to an image drawn in HTML5 canvas?

I am currently working on a quantum cryptography simulation game. I need to animate the QC process.

I first draw some images on the HTML5 canvas. the canvas part of my game

Now, I would like to set the visibility of certain images (like hiding some images when the game is first loaded or changing the images based on the situation). I have done some researches that ID is required to change the visibility of the images or do other functions. For the whole canvas part, I took a reference from W3Schools HTML Game (link: https://www.w3schools.com/graphics/game_intro.asp).

My questions are:

  1. If ID is required, how can I assign the IDs to the images?
  2. If ID is not required, how can I manipulate the images?

Thanks.
