Python list to Javascript in HTML file

I have a Python list with dictionary objects that I have to use inside a JS function. I can pass it to the frontend from Flask with Jinja2 but inside the JS code the apostrophes are transforming into ASCII like this:

 var arr2 = {{arr1}}; # the list is in a Jinja variable

 printed to:
 [{'num_value': '5324', 'title': 'Lorem Ipsum', 'media': 'missing'}]

 while the original list was this:
 [{"num_value": "5324", "title": "Lorem Ipsum", "media": "missing"}]

I tried to fix it with by processing the array as JSON but the solutions I found in other questions like $.parseJSON(arr), JSON.parse(arr) didn't help.

My question is what is the correct way to transform a list/JSON object containing dictionary objects into a Javascript list?
