How to import @types with "require" function?

Im learning Electron.js v16.0.5 and have trouble with types. I dont know if it's VS code issue or my but when I write this code

const myElectron = require('electron')

myElectron has type any. At the same time when Im opening in the next tab electron.d.ts that is located in node_moduels, myElectron has type Electron. When I close electron.d.ts tab than myElectron again has type any.

So, how could I import types with require function?

*Note: in case import electron from 'electron' it has types, but in building gives error and crashes
