Estoy tratando de crear un enlace useState que coincida con este objeto:

 [ { "id":"", "name":"" } ]

Así es como se ve mi código:

 const [ galleries, setGalleries ] = useState([ { id: "", name: "" } ])
 setGalleries({...galleries, id: gallery.id, name: gallery.name})

Así es como puede agregar un nuevo objeto a la matriz de estado

 setGalleries((previousGalleries) => [...previousGalleries, { id: gallery.id, name: gallery.name }])

problema en tu codigo

 setGalleries({...galleries, id: gallery.id, name: gallery.name})

galleries es una matriz, pero la estás extendiendo en un objeto. Tampoco se crea un objeto separado para agregar la nueva galería.
