I have a webview which is loading a base url which is triggering some js code in the background and keeps loading new images. However the images are being cached in the webview (from chrome::inspect I can see that the images are being cached under Application -> Frames -> Images) and increasing memory pressure on the system (causing onTrim to trigger). Also Memory Profiler on Android shows huge amount of memory taken up by graphics. I have tried the following solutions - WebView.clearCache and WebStorage.deleteAllData but none of them seems to be helpful in clearing the images. I do not control the js code (its just being loaded in the webview)

Any tips on how to solve this would be appreciated.
