I am trying to insert a breakpoint on the ajax code found here:

But I keep getting the error "A breakpoint could not be inserted at this location".

What I've tried so far:

• Clean build, rebuild everything - in case there was some random syntax issue
• "script debugging" is enabled.
• I have an environment variabled ASPNETCORE_ENVIRONMENT=Development
• Launch browser is true
• tried to attach VS Pro 2022 to the web app after I start it. I attached to dotnet.exe process.

Nothing so far has worked.

Should I be able to debug this JS code? i just want to see how the client is sending the file stream to the server piece.

Any tips would be appreciated.
