jQuery.ScannerDetection: Add setTimeout function on tirgger event inside onComplete

I am using jQuery.ScannerDetection plugin and I want to set a delay on trigger event inside onComplete. How can I achieve this?

<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).scannerDetection({
    timeBeforeScanTest: 200,
    startChar: [120],
    endChar: [13],
    avgTimeByChar: 40,
    onComplete: function(barcode, qty){

        setTimeout(function(){ $("selector").trigger("click")},100); // not working
        // $("selector").trigger("click") -> works but not with setTimeout
    }
});
</script>
