How do I use 'Sign In With Google' (One Tap) together with oAuth?

B"H

Apparently Google has a new Identity API called 'Sign In With Google' (as opposed to the legacy API called 'Google Sign-In')

Confusing naming conventions aside. I would assume that we are supposed to be migrating to their new API.

The new API relies on JWT. Which means that as soon as we decode the Base64 and run it through JSON.parse() we have name, email, picture, and id.

But how do I get an access token to continue using the other APIs?

Or is the new API only if I never plan on using oAuth and any other APIs? And if I plan on using oAuth in the future then I should just stick with the old API?
