Change how EJS renders xml templates?

I'm trying to use EJS templates to store xml code. I'm using this xml code strings to pass into an SDK that converts the xml code to an image. However, the issue I'm having is that EJS adds line notation into the templates, which the sdk doesn't supports. For example: Working, hard-coded xml string: "<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"utf-8\"?> <DieCutLabel Version=\"8.0\" Units=\"twips\">..."

XML string rendered from EJS template: "\n<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"utf-8\"?>\\n <DieCutLabel Version=\"8.0\" Units=\"twips\">\\n"

EJS is adding in \n symbols, which the SDK does not support. Is there any easy solution to this?
