I have a directory of names that I can search through. This is the HTML code:

The filter function I currently have is (typescript):

  applyFilter(filterValue: string) {
    this.dataSource.filter = filterValue.trim().toLowerCase();
  }

How can I modify the applyFilter function to allow the name search to include names with and without accents.

For example, if I write emily in the search bar, it will return the name émily if it exists.
