Choosing best camera on IOS and Galaxy JavaScript

I want to automatically choose the best back (environment facing) camera for my cross-platform web application. I am using navigator.mediaDevices.enumerateDevices() to work both on Android and IOS. I have two issues:

  1. On IOS devices the function getCapabilities() seems to be missing from the MediaStreamTrack (or all other property functions) and holds only the "deviceId", "kind" and "label" properties which aren't enough.

note: I call get navigator.mediaDevices.enumerateDevices() after calling navigator.mediaDevices.getUserMedia() according to this thread.

  1. On Galaxy devices (specifically note20) I get the same capabilities from getCapabilities() for multiple back cameras (both wide-angle and regular). How can I recognize the camera used for the regular video?
