How is the correct way to make the google ranking not caring about an unimportant network request ?

My page sends an unimportant request (some logging) on e.g. React.componentDidUpdate(), and google Lighthouse complains about it, and recommends to preconnect important connections.

But this request is not important, and I think it would be more appropriate to make the page display the full content and be fully reactive, and make the request later, with minor priority (e.g. maybe even cancel it on unmount). I think that should be considered a perfectly fine "performant" website, or not ?
