Third party javascript libraries VS2017

premise, I am a neophyte in the world of programming. I am trying to build a web app with ASP.NET MVC (not the CORE version) in Visaul Studio 2017 and I want to install a library for the frontend (for example sweetalert2 with NPM CLI). The problem is that if I use the asp.net BundleConfig.cs, the intellisense doesn't give me any suggestions but on chrome console i can see the Swal object. I've read that I should use stuff like webpack or requirejs but if possible I'd like to use BundleConfig as I've tried both but they seem too cumbersome for what I want to do. what I want to get is the possibility to run for example Swal.Fire ("some text") `with the intellisense wherever I want

<script>

  //some code

  Swal.Fire("some text")

  //other code

</script>

So the question is: what am I missing along the way? Is there a solution or should I use webpack or other solutions? Any help is appreciated. If any details are missing, I apologize in advance
