I am trying to set the value in the search view programatically and show the suggestions. I thought it would be simple but it is not working. The value is being set but the suggestions are not shown. I am using this line of code:

$('[role=searchbox]').val('test').trigger('keyup');

So what's the catch? Thanks in advance.
