Sanitize HTML from Angular Reactive form fields

I have angular component consisting of Reactive Form to get user inputs. Now, I don't want to prevent user from entering HTML Tags. But, If user enters the HTML tags in input fields, then those tags should be removed at the time of submitting the form.

I do have an option to add regex validation, to reactive form, but I want to know if there is another way to solve this issue. Currently My application is accepting HTML tags as user input and this HTML is getting pass to back-end with HTML tags in it.

For ex.,

  • User enters this in angular front-end: < script > alert('Hello'); </ script >
  • Value received at node back-end : < script > alert('Hello'); </ script >

Can anyone please help me with this, Thank you in advance.
