Suponiendo que no haya duplicados, ¿los Conjuntos siempre superan a las Listas Vinculadas?

Recientemente, estuve investigando conjuntos de JavaScript y me parece que, siempre que no se trate de datos duplicados, coinciden o superan a las listas vinculadas en todos los escenarios. ¿Es esto justo o existe un escenario en el que las listas enlazadas son superiores?
