Mongoose aggregate with not equal operator ($ne)

I want to receive random data that does not match the id from the request header. How can I do this?

I tried this code but it doesn't work.

const getRandomPosts = async (req, res) => {
  // id = dynamic post id
  const { id } = req.headers;
  const posts = await Posts.aggregate([
    { $match: { _id: { $ne: id } } },
    { $sample: { size: 3 } },
  ]);
  //mongoose >= 3.6
  const random = await Posts.populate(posts, { path: "categories" });
  res.status(200).json(random);
};
