¿Cómo actualizar el plano cercano de la cámara usando dat gui en Three.js?

Estoy tratando de actualizar el valor del plano near en mi cámara y reflejarlo en la escena. El valor camera.near parece actualizarse pero no veo ninguna diferencia en mi navegador. ¿Qué estoy haciendo mal?
