Why does map or for loop doesn't give it's index when object is returned out of it

[1,2,3].map((n,k)=> {k:n})

In the above execution, the output is pretty doesn't print k, what's the catch here?

[1,2,3].map((n,k)=> console.log(n,k))

This one works though!
