My backend is sending a JSON response which contains data. I'd like to store that data in a file and ask the user if he wants to download it.

I've set this up :

let element = document.createElement('a');
                element.setAttribute('href', 'data:text/json;charset=utf-8,'+encodeURIComponent(JSON.stringify(response.data.json)));
                element.setAttribute('download', `myFile.json`);
                element.style.display = 'none';
                document.body.appendChild(element);
                element.click();
                document.body.removeChild(element);

When the function fires, nothing happens. Weird thing is if I manually recreate the URI (writing the data:text/json and the encodeURIComponent string in the url), it displays properly on the new tab.

Would a string too long be the source of the problem ? Is it something else entirely ?
