Por qué el orden de depuración es diferente en IE y Chrome

Actualmente tengo el siguiente código en mi archivo javascript.

 Line 100. $(document).on('change', '#elementName', function () Line 500. $(document).on('click', '#elementName', function ()

Inicialmente, pensé que tanto IE11 como Chrome funcionarían con la misma función, pero en Chrome, comienza en la línea 500 y en IE, comienza en la línea 100 uno.

Me gustaría poder comenzar desde la misma función de elementName incluso si los navegadores son diferentes.

No sé por qué comienza desde un lugar diferente en diferentes navegadores, entonces, ¿qué debo hacer para que comience desde la misma función con el mismo nombre de elemento? Por cierto, si es posible, me gustaría que IE comenzara desde la línea 500 al igual que Chrome.
