React mouse events triggered on mobile

On mobile, the parent element onMouseEnter listener is triggered by clicking a child button element.

  1. I do not understand why the mouse event is triggered in a mouseless environment
  2. I don't understand why the house events are triggered before the button click event

Here is a simplified version of my code: https://codepen.io/JDFutu/full/YzaVgvB

To reproduce

  1. click the one button and see the menu open
  2. click the other button and see it does not open
  3. check the console to see the other of the events fired

This menu is a react implementation of https://yale-a11y.gitlab.io/ui-component-library/accessible-flyout-menu
