¿Es posible convertir un archivo HTML5 o texto a un archivo epub a través de una línea de comandos de Unix? ¿Es posible automatizar este proceso?

Puedes probar pandoc

 sudo apt-get install pandoc pandoc -f html -t epub3 -o output.epub input.html

Puede agregar metadatos para epub:

 pandoc -f html -t epub3 --epub-metadata=metadata.xml -o output.epub input.html

Archivo xml de metadatos: metadata.xml

Otra opción es usar lo siguiente después de instalar calibre .

 ebook-convert input.html output.epub

Encontré algunos errores de líneas de ruptura con pandoc, eso no sucedió con ebook-convert
