Is it possible to detect if an iFrame's parent is in fullscreen?

I have an issue on a mobile client site, where they have set their own page to fullscreen, and are running our site in an iFrame. Our site has code to change its appearance when in fullscreen mode, but as the parent document is the one in fullscreen mode, our iFrame is not detecting the switch to fullscreen. I have tried adding listeners for the "fullscreenchange" event, but these do not seem to trigger either. Is there any workaround for this issue?
