"información de proceso no disponible", comando jps en linux

usamos el comando jps para ver qué proceso hadoop está activo, pero desde hace unos días el comando jps muestra un resultado como este.

 [root@master ~]# jps 3814 -- process information unavailable 2266 -- process information unavailable 6197 -- process information unavailable 7092 Jps 6415 -- process information unavailable 6027 -- process information unavailable

la salida real debe ser

 [root@slave ~]# jps 5039 Jps 2764 Application 2468 DataNode 2349 TaskTracker

¿Hay alguna forma de que me muestre la información del proceso?

Simplemente elimine la carpeta hsperfdata_ de su carpeta /tmp y ejecute jps nuevamente.
