React.js useId crea un selector no válido

Estoy tratando de obtener el elemento por id. (Es un código de ejemplo para reproducir el error)

 function MyComponent(){
 const myId = useId();

 useEffect(() => {
 const myComponentDOMElement = document.querySelector(`#${myId}`); // error here
 }
 )

 return <div id={ myId }> text </div>
}

Este código da un error:

 Uncaught DOMException: Failed to execute 'querySelector' on 'Document': '#:Rt6m:' is not a valid selector.

useRef no pudo ayudarme en mi caso. ¿Cómo puedo usar la ID para obtener el elemento.

Descubrí que puedo usar el selector de atributos.

 }
 )
