podemos ver " /sbin/agetty --local-line 9600 ttyS1 vt100 " entonces, ¿qué significa esto vt100?

term es el valor que se utilizará para la variable de entorno TERM. Esto anula lo que init(8) haya configurado, y lo heredan el inicio de sesión y el shell. El valor predeterminado es 'vt100' o 'linux' para Linux en una terminal virtual, o 'hurd' para GNU Hurd en una terminal virtual.

Entonces, el valor de TERM determina qué emulación de terminal usa su sistema para mostrar la pantalla. En Linux, el valor predeterminado es "vt100" o "linux".
