He probado mi tutorial. pero solo recibe el mismo error como este.
Pruebe apt full-upgrade y apt upgrade y el último comando apt get update pruebe estos tres comandos y reinicie la máquina que resolverá.
Como se indica en la descripción de ppa :
Solo se proporcionan versiones compatibles de PHP ( http://php.net/supported-versions.php ) para versiones compatibles de Ubuntu ( https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases ).
Ubuntu 16.04 ya no es compatible desde abril de 2021, por lo que creo que ya no existe una rama xenial de php 8.0. Sugeriría actualizar Ubuntu a la ver. 20.04 LTS para poder usar php 8.0
